I found this picture of the cat and loved its lazy expression and the lovely sparkling green eyes. But wanted to compose differently. This was the time when my kid was about an year old and he laughed and giggled when we played peek-a-boo. I took the idea and placed the cat peeping through the blanket.
I worked with watercolour to create realistic fur and eyes of the cat. Although realism in watercolour seems very tough and  overwhelming in the beginning, gradually it feels better as you start observing and working on each details and colour.
