The painting is inspired from the expression of dog amidst the floating bubbles. I am not sure, if the dog was really in a dreamy world like the ones we humans imagine with pastel and bright colours along with floating bubbles or star dust. However, it is good to imagine they do.
The rainbow coloured bubbles in the fore ground and the neutral shades of the dog's fur and sandy beach in the middle and background create a subtle contrast. The painting has a relaxed mood and indeed working with colour pencils little by little supports this mood as well.
