The boy in the lotus pond is inspired by the happy face of the boy who was enjoying his swim amidst the lotus harvest. Lotus is considered as a auspicious flowers for hindu worship rituals and as such lotus is harvested from the ponds and sent to markets.
I love working with watercolour as a medium to work on such themes as I enjoy the transparent and subtle nature of watercolour.
